How to record from your iPhone or iPod Touch into streaming radio:

Two recording-capable applications are available in the iPhone app store:

RadioWeave Radio, in addition to being the most fully-functional mobile RadioWeave client, allows you to record new content into your own or other shared channels, or to reply directly to anything you hear streamed over the radio.
Soundbiter NowHearThis offers a unique way to capture audio after-the-fact and is ideal for RadioWeave microblogging and spontaneous journalism.

Recording with RadioWeave Radio for iPhone:

1) While listening to RadioWeave for iPhone, there are two options for starting the recorder directly from the main listening screen. Pressing the reply icon will give the option to create a track in response to whatever is currently playing. Pressing the create icon will jump directly to the recorder.

2) You will next see a recording screen. Press "record" to start and "stop" to finish. If you're satisfied with your record, pressing "keep" will take you to the upload screen.

Recording with NowHearThis:

NowHearThis is unique among recorders because it is always recording. It is best used when waiting for something interesting to capture (if you leave the screen off, you can run NowHearThis for many hours without using too much battery).

When some interesting sound has been captured, press the one GIANT button and "keep" to prepare to upload this audio to streaming radio.

Editing your recording from NowHearThis or the RadioWeave iPhone app:

Both applications feature a similar screen for editing the track before uploading.

The waveform editor lets you remove "the junk" and only keep the good stuff. Other radio listeners will really appreciate it if you only keep the good stuff.

You can edit many other attributes from this screen: title, description, tags, channels, location, and sharing.

NowHearThis' waveform editor also supports zooming in/out for finer control while editing and the ability to add interstitial music or sound effects to your recordings.

When the editing is to your liking, press "done".

Uploading your tracks into the radio stream:

When your tracks have been edited they're available on this screen for upploading to the server. You may temporarily lock some that are not ready for upload yet.

After uploading, these tracks are available immediately for other RadioWeave listeners.

Getting an embeddable web widget for any of your uploaded tracks:

1) At radioweave.com, log in to your account, select the be heard and my tracks tabs, then click on a track in the list below.

2) In the pop-up window, right click on the embed url, then paste the HTML code into your website or blog.

Getting an RSS feed for all of your uploaded content:

1) At radioweave.com, log in to your account, select the be heard and my channels tabs, then click on a channel in the list below.

2) In the pop-up window, right click on the rss url, then paste it into iTunes (from the Advanced -> Subscribe to Podcast... menu) or another podcast aggregator.
